Faucet mounting on your own? It is simple!

Grupa Armatura

Contrary to common opinion mounting of bathroom taps is not a complicated task. If we read the instructions carefully, it may turn out that we do not need professional help at all. Here are some simple guidelines to follow during taps and valves installation on your own.

Before buying a tap, check the height of pipes for hot and cold water in your bathroom. The choice of wall or pillar tap depends on that. If pipes are above bathtub or washbasin, we mount wall taps and when water runs below them – then we mount pillar or multi-hole taps. In Armatura Group offer you will find a wide array of wall and pillar models. Taps of Kraków originating producer are easy in mounting, functional and aesthetic.

Mounting of double handle taps

Double handle taps, as models from collections Retro and Retro Classic from Armatura Group, should be installed in water network with temperature of 90°C and pressure of 1MPa (recommended pressure is 0.3 MPa). It is best to connect it to hot water from the left and to cold water from the right. Wall tap mounting is started with screwing S-connections to water network (structure scheme for a product is printed in the instructions attached to package). It is recommended to seal thread connection with hemp fibre or Teflon tape. Connections should be placed horizontally and stand out of the wall at right angle. Despite S-union a rosette should be screwed on and tap should be attached with connections nuts (flat seals securing the connection). Taps and valves mounted in this way will be reliable and tight.

In case of pillar single hole taps, put into the body flexible connections and mounting screw. Put the tap with connection elements towards mounting hole and put a rubber and metal washer onto the screw protruding from the down. Taps and valves will be permanently threaded by means of flange nut. Finally connect flexible connections to water network and check their tightness. Double hole pillar tap installation on your own is not complicated either. Put straight connections into mounting holes and attach them by nuts. Taps should be mounted by means of connection nuts and connections should be secured with flat seals. Remember to screw water network ends on simple connections. When installing bathtub tap, shower hose should be screwed to joint and shower handle. Finally check the tightness of all connections so that tap works perfectly.
